How to apply for a course at Bicton

If you are sure which course you would like to study, please fill in the application form page on this web site and e-mail or print and send it to us at the following address:

Customer Services

Bicton College of Agriculture

East Budleigh

Devon

EX9 7BY.

Within one week of receiving your application form we will contact you regarding a date for interview.

It is never too early to apply for a course with us. Applications are received mainly from the start of year 11 (year 5). It is best to apply as early as possible, especially if you are seeking a discretionary award from your local authority, as some local authorities have a cut-off date for the receipt of grant applications. It will also help if you can speak to the course tutor about what GCSE grades you will need, so that you can concentrate on your examinations with a firm goal in mind.

Careers Advice Afternoons

If you would like further advice before completing an application form, we strongly recommend visiting the College to attend a Careers Advice Afternoon (dates available). During the afternoon you will have the opportunity for a one-to-one chat with the course manager and a tour of the College campus and on-site accommodation with either a tutor or a current student. These Wednesday afternoons are very relaxed and friendly, with the emphasis clearly on you and answering any questions that you might have. It is also possible to have an interview on these advice afternoons. Please mark this on the reply slip.
