I decided many years ago that I wanted a tattoo, I checked out a few tattoo shops, but couldn't find anything I really wanted. It never occured to me that most tattoo shops are perfectly able to tattoo practically any image you give them. It took another couple of years to decide what I wanted, then just over a week to research and design the image. The result is as you see here - some people have recognised it for what it is - it's directions: How to find Earth from up to about 5 Parsec's away (about 15 light years) - Now isn't that handy.

Design Details. If you are interested in the details of the design, I have documented how I came by it, and how it works (or might work if my maths is correct !)
