Exeter Friends of the Earth campaigns "for people and the planet" in Exeter & Devon. It is one of over 250 local FoE groups campaigning and working on local and national environmental issues. We speak up on matters of individual and joint concern, and argue our case in an increasingly complex environment. We liaise with other regional agencies with similar aims in environmental issues.

  • Exeter Environmental Centre

What have we done...?

  • Campaigned against the new A30 from Honiton to Exeter, under ‘Cancel the Contract’.
  • Produced reports & taken action to highlight Air Pollution in Exeter.
  • Proposed & promoted Cycle routes in Exeter.
  • Co-ordinated green groups against local issues.
  • Protested as part of the Boycott Shell coalition against their involvement in Nigeria.
  • Street stunts highlighting the issue of Climate Change (Rio / Kyoto) & proposed lternatives.
  • Worked with the council in meeting the Rio Earth Summit Targets (Agenda 21).
  • Boycott Esso campaign.
  • Worked with Exeter Peoples Choice on the Princesshay campaign.
  • Highlighted habitat & biodiversity loss.
  • Consistent articles in the papers, TV & radio.
