Say No to Unwanted BagsA major focus of our waste campaigning this year will focus on waste minimisation in the form of the SNUB camapaign.If you look at any landfill site the first thing you will notice is the plastic bags floating in the wind and clinging to nearby trees. And this is largely caused by the fact that stores force a plastic bag on you without being asked. Our campaign will be to persuade the City Centre stores to only give you a plastic bag if the customer specifically requests one. We hope that Devon County Council, Exeter City Council and the Environment Agency will join us in this campaign. |

The Energy from Waste lobby are campaigning hard to peddle their ideas for large incinerators in the South West. Their arguments appear beguiling, but the reality of incineration is that it is not a sustainable route to follow.
