An introduction to:

INDEPENDENT MANAGEMENT SERVICES

Just a quick note to introduce myself for, I thought that at least you should have the opportunity of understanding my philosophies and to maybe consider my services as your book-keeper, and hopefully your accountant too.

Let me explain what I can provide, and the costs involved.

My base business, and my speciality, is one of management accounting, in that by providing good monthly management accounts, the end-of-year bits and pieces become very simple and straight-forward. Along the way, of course, the monthly figures give an accurate view of how the business is progressing - and you can make all sorts of decisions based on facts rather than assumptions.

The book-keeping service involves a monthly visit from one of my ladies with her laptop computer, to collect all your data for the month. I then produce the printed accounts for you. We use Sage.

At the year-end, we are able to produce the more formal accounts quickly and easily, and decisions as to tax and planning can be made in the certain knowledge of the results achieved.

I can provide this whole package for a tariff starting at £1500 per annum + VAT, on the proviso that your basic personal taxation situation is clean and straight-forward. That doesn't suggest that I couldn't cope with anything else -- just that a more complex tax or planning situation would attract a higher fee, but maybe only on a "once only" basis.

The book-keeping system, alone, would cost say £90 per month, or maybe £60 if we visited every other month. I have several clients who post their work to me, and the cost here would be £50 per month -- the system is quite simple in that, for example, we have a cheque book whilst you have another.

I will close now, in the hope that the above ideas are of interest to you. My pricing is keen, but if the underlying records are clean and tidy, then there isn’t much justification for a higher charge, and tax returns are basically very simplified, these days.

I regret to say that many accountants lean on the "mysticism" surrounding accounts and taxation - thus justifying higher fees.

After all is said and done -- why bother keeping your own records -- your time is more valuable, and in any case, all your efforts more productive in other areas of your business.

Please give me a ring when you are ready or use the email facility herewith.

Many thanks for visiting my site.

I hope that I can be of assistance to you.
