Welcome to South Devon Hang Gliding & Paragliding Club, the club for Hang Glider and Paraglder foot launch pilots. We are a registered club affiliated to the BHPA (www.bhpa.co.uk) and exist to help our members get more out their sport and to provide a structure for local and visiting pilots to fly, meet up, discuss flying, equipment and much more, in beautiful South Devon. Although our membership is not the largest we have some of the best costal and moorland flying sites in the country right on our doorstep and when the weather obliges the flying possibilities are endless and most enjoyable. At present we have regular monthly club meetings and we have an active online Yahoo Discussion Group, which is open to non-members if you have an account. Why not drop in and introduce yourself. Committee Members get a lot of enquiries from people looking to enter the sport of Hang Gliding or Paragliding and although initial training is not given by us, we can coach pilots that have attained their BHPA Club Pilot rating. If you are new to the sport please do not hesitate to contact us before undertaking training and especially before buying equipment which should only be done with good, reliable advice from locals that have done it here in our area.
