There are over 9,000,000 people in the country who have some form of deafness or hearing impairment. It is now becoming ever more important, both for individuals and organisations, to be aware of the needs of deaf people and to be able to communicate with them.

College for the Deaf Exeter is a specialist trainer on deaf awareness. The trainers all work with deaf students and so have relevant, practical and up-to-date experience for the training on deaf awareness that they give to hearing people.

The courses can be delivered within the College itself or off-site at a location convenient to the organisation. It is also possible to create tailor made training courses for organisations, with flexibility over length of course, subjects covered and the location of the training.

Any profits made from these courses will be spent on supporting deaf children to overcome their disability and fulfil their potential.
