Booking Conditions
-
The accommodation, known as Pilot Cottage, Exmouth, is
booked from 3 pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10 am on the day
of departure.
-
No booking is accepted until a completed booking form
together with a deposit of 25% of the total cost of the accommodation has been
received and acceptance of the booking has been confirmed in writing. Your
deposit will be returned at once if we are unable to accept your booking.
-
Once a booking has been confirmed the Hirer is
responsible for the total cost of the holiday as shown on the invoice. The
Balance of Hire to be paid not later than six weeks prior to commencement of
the holiday. In the event of cancellation by the Hirer, the Owner shall be
entitled to retain the deposit as a booking fee. Upon receipt of reasonable
notice of cancellation, the Owner will use all reasonable efforts to re-let the
accommodation. However, the Hirer shall be liable to pay the full Balance of
Hire unless the Owner has been successful in re-letting the holiday.
-
For the reasons stated above Holiday Cancellation
Insurance cover is provided, at extra cost, by the Owner. Then, if the reason
for cancellation is covered by the policy (e.g. illness, injury or death of an
insured person or close relative, redundancy, jury service, being required to
attend as a witness etc) and the relevant documents are produced, the
responsibility to pay the cost of hire (less a £15 administration fee)
will be met by the insurers who will reimburse any sums (less the £15
administration fee) already paid by the Hirer. Payment of the Holiday
Cancellation Insurance premium by the Hirer is obligatory unless the holiday is
paid for in full at the time of booking.
-
The Hirer agrees:
-
To pay for any damage howsoever caused, excluding
reasonable fair wear and tear.
-
To take good care of the property and leave it in a clean
and tidy condition ready for occupation by the next hirers.
-
That the number of people occupying the property will not
exceed four, including children.
-
Not, without the written consent of the Owner, to permit
any person(s) to occupy the property other than such person(s) named on the
Reservation Form as submitted by the Hirer at the time of booking.
-
Not to cause nuisance or annoyance to occupants of nearby
property, nor to permit smoking within any part of the premises.
-
The premises may be checked by the Owner on the morning
of departure to verify that they are in clean and tidy condition and that the
inventory is correct.
-
The Hirer will remain responsible for all members of the
party and should ensure that they are aware of the booking conditions. If these
are not met, particularly in the case of noise, smoking on the premises or
nuisance to neighbours, the Owner could refuse entry or re-entry to the
property and no moneys be refunded.
-
The Owner, his representatives and agents shall not be
liable for any loss, damage, inconvenience or liability arising out of the
hiring.
-
This agreement shall be deemed to be a contract entered
into in England and subject to English law. It is expressly agreed that the
English courts shall have jurisdiction.
