The Photographers Centre has moved - again....

Which means that we are almost back where we started.

Exeter College; our landlords for the past 18 months informed us at rather short notice that they required the space we had been using to teach yet more would-be army, navy and other socially challenged students.

Our new premises do not allow us to operate a 'traditional' wet darkroom facility but we will maintain the digital darkroom facility and frame back resource.
We hope to be able to offer traditional facilities again in the near future.

  Digital darkroom:
The Centre has the facilities to scan in colour from up to A4 images and can arrange for scanning from 35mm film. It is possible to edit photographs in Photoshop and to print them. Desk top publishing software is also available which will enable the pictures to be placed with text and other artwork to make posters, leaflets and other publicity material. A file transfer facility (using E-mail) also exists to enable images to be sent via a modem to anywhere in the world.
The digital darkroom has 5 Pentium based computers running Photoshop 5.
Hire of the equipment on an hourly rate of £2.40 per hour or £11.00 per day.
Courses
A new range of courses are underway at The Photographers Centre, including workshops on the use of Photoshop 5,   Website design and DeskTop Publishing.

Technical Information:
The Centre has compiled a comprehensive set of notes on many aspects of photography and we are now able to offer these to members; a small charge is made to cover the cost of printing and materials used.
Single sheets are now only 25p each,
The set of topics supplied in a folder is £5.00.
Or on floppy disk saved as text files(txt) £3.00.
We are writing the Darkroom Info Book as web pages.
