General Information

Teleservice has its own workshop and repairs are done on the premises. We also employ outside technical help, and assistance, and with technical departments of major suppliers.

We attempt repairs on most brands of television and video recorders with the exception of Bang and Olafson.

We repair most radio's and small electrical items where it is economic to do so.

It is impossible for any service dept to keep every part required in stock, tho' we do carry many parts in our spares dept. Manufacturers specify that only their genuine parts can be used in particular circuit positions, for safety, and to maintain the original specifications. We rely on the maker's swift response for spares ordered, to complete repairs, as we use recommended replacement parts

To give a level of service of quality and reliability, we employ qualified technicians. Therefore we make a small fee for examining items with a view to repairing. If, for any reason, a job is not done, the fee goes towards the examination time and it is not refundable. If the job is completed, the fees are DEDUCTED from the total cost of the work.

Examination Fees

TV, Video, or combi's, multi-band radio and microwaves : £15.00 including VAT.

Small electricals (excluding laundry products), toasters, irons, vacuum cleaners, hair-care, kettles, heaters : £3.50 incl VAT.

Items brought for examination are usually looked at within 2 working days (excluding holidays and Sundays).

If a job is economic, in the absence of other instructions, we will proceed with it. If an estimate is required, or a ceiling of cost is given, then we advise you of the cost before continuing with any repairs.

We can call to check equipment in your home, and if the fault is minor, put it right. Because of modern equipments complexity, most repairs are collected and returned to our workshop. With transport costs, insurance, etc. this service is more expensive than bringing equipment to us. We therefore have a minimum charge* if a call proves to be unproductive. If however we repair an item, then other than the normal costs of repair, collection and delivery, no callout charge is added or charged in any way.
