Directions

Taking the M5 to Exeter (if travelling from the North or joining the M5 at Exeter), follow the A30 toward Okehampton. Pull off the A30 at Whiddon Down, and turn left at Whiddon Down on the A382 towards Moretonhampstead and Chagford. After about 3 miles take the right turn at Easton Cross (signposted to Chagford) and follow the road for 1 mile into the centre of the village. Turn right, and take the left fork in the road by Moorlands Hotel about 200 yards down the hill on the left. Immediately behind Moorlands Hotel just as the left fork in the road begins you will see the forecourt to Hunter's Moon on the left. Please pull in here and knock on the door, and we will show you to your accommodation!.

Departure                       10.00 am on day of departure


Booking Information

  • BOOKING:

To confirm your booking, please return the booking form together with your deposit on £50.00. The balance is due 4 weeks before the start of your holiday. If you book within 4 weeks of the start of your holiday start date, the full amount is required at the time of booking.

 

  • DISCOUNTS:

We offer a 5% discount if you have stayed with us previously.

 

  • LINEN:

Bed linen is provided and hand towels but please bring bath and large towels with you. A baby cot is available and comes provided with linen and a high chair at an additional £5.00 per week charge. 

 

  • ELECTRICITY & HEATING:

This is included in the rental price. All properties have a pay phone.

 

  • BATHS & SHOWERS:

Padley Hey has one en-suite bathroom, one single bathroom and one single shower room.

Old Stables has one en-suite shower room and one en-suite bathroom.

Lookover has one single bathroom with over bath shower unit.

 

  • PETS:

We welcome well-behaved dogs at Lookover & Padley Hey. Also at Old Stables by prior arrangement only as the patio area is not enclosed. There is an additional charge of £10.00 per animal to cover cost of extra cleaning. Please do not leave pets unattended in the properties or allow them onto the furniture or beds. And please clean up after your dog in the gardens.

 

  • ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE TIMES:

Arrival at 2pm onwards.                                                                                                                      Departure at l0am.

We will endeavour to be as flexible as possible at all times so if you want to arrive earlier please let us know on confirmation of booking.

 

  • SHOPPING & SPECIAL OCCASIONS:

If you would like a basic shop done for food for your arrival please let us know, & if you have a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary we can arrange flowers, champagne etc. at a small additional cost.

Village shops and public transport available from the village square - a 200-yard walk from the forecourt of Hunter's Moon.

 

  • BUSINESS SERVICES:

If you can’t leave the office behind we can offer fax, e-mail and a message taking service by arrangement. Mobile phones have either no or erratic reception around Chagford. It does seem, however, that Vodafone has a better coverage than Orange at the present time.

 

  • SHORT BREAKS:

Available from October to June and outside these dates subject to availability with start days and duration to suit you. Cost is weekly rate divided into seven x number of days staying.

 

  • SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

If you have any special requirements just let us know and we will endeavour to accommodate you.

 

  • CANCELLATION:

Please advise us as soon as possible. We will endeavour to re-let the property and return your deposit.

 

  • DAMAGE:

Please inform us of any breakages or damages during the rental period. Minor accidental damage will normally not be charged for.

 

  • PERSONAL BELONGINGS AND VEHICLES:

These are you responsibility. We cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss during your holiday with us. All properties are covered for Public Liability Insurance.

Car parking for The Old stables is on Hunter's Moon forecourt - a short walk from The Old Stables. Padley Hey and Lookover both have garage and driveway parking.

There is a main car park for the village too. Please follow sign from village centre for Health Centre.
