BRADNINCH WELL LEVELS

CROFTHAYES

Pathfinder series sheet SS80/90. Grid reference SS 995038.

84 M above sea level.

Crofthayes well is 35 feet deep. The chart has been made up so that the bottom of the well is 0ft and the top as 35ft.

The lowest it went to was in November 2004 when only 0.05" was recorded.

2002 in the Crofthayes well was very interesting with a record low for months - Jul - Oct then a dramatic rise to the highest November level on record. This jump was the result of a very wet Autumn.

And the highest was during December 1999 as a result of the wet December.

This well is very responsive to rain water unlike the Somme well below.

SOMME WELL

Pathfinder series sheet SS80/90. Grid reference SS 996034.

61 M  above sea level.

This well is not very responsive, as you can see, the level only changes slowly during the year.

2003 was a very dry year and this kept this well at a record low level from July to December

AS OF 30/6/04 RECORDING OF THIS WELL HAS NOW STOPPED
