Andrew Bibby - home page

I am a professional writer and journalist, working as an independent consultant for a number of international and national organisations, and as a regular contributor to British national newspapers and magazines. I am also the author of a number of books.

I have undertaken work in recent years for, among others, the International Labour Organization, the European Commission, UK Department of Trade and Industry, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Union Network International and Education International.

My journalism has appeared in, among other places, The Observer, the Independent, The Guardian, International Herald-Tribune and Sunday Business.

I specialise in writing on the social and management implications of information and communication technologies, with a particular focus on issues relating to globalisation, industrial relations, work relocation and teleworking. On this web site can be found the complete text of several reports and journal articles on these themes, some lengthy extracts from my book "Teleworking: Thirteen Journeys to the Future of Work", together with other writings on the subject

I have also selected some of my more general recent journalism, culled from a wide range of articles.

I am the co-editor of Young Carers in Their Own Words (pub Autumn 2000), and the author of Hospice Without Walls (pub 1999) and Walking in Purbeck (2nd edition 1997). I am also the author of a children's novel with a somewhat unusual environmental theme, Me, Mick and M31
