The
Com-bat 50 is a different sort of model. It is made from expanded polypropylene
foam and is virtually crash-proof and what is more the building time is only a few hours!!
It was decided to produce models made of this material after attending a competition in
South Wales. We cannot remember the last time we had such un-inhibited fun flying model
aircraft or saw young children being allowed to fly a model aircraft by themselves without
Dad twitching in the background, frightened that a big repair job was about to land on his
bench.
The Com-bat 50,
well, it looks (well almost!!) and flies like the Wingbats i.e.
very aerobatic, quick, goes where you put it, stays up in light lift and does not bite. If
lift is virtually non-existent it can be catapulted in the air on a short bungee. As
mentioned previously the Com-bat 50 can be built in a few hours (buy one day fly
the next) and is virtually crash-proof. Electronic mixing is required for the controls,
either on-board or in the transmitter. |
