The Courses

3 hour learn to fly - £60
This is a great taster to the joys of this adrenaline sport. An introduction to Safety systems,kite lines, pumping the kite, rigging and pre-flight checks. We will have you flying the kite in the wind window, power strokes across the window, s bends and the use of the safety leash.

1 day introduction to kiteboarding - £110
Before lunch we cover all the basics using trainer kites as described in learn to fly. Then it is time to get serious and get wet! After rigging it is time to have a go at using the safety systems in the water and practice water relaunching the kite.

Once confident we start body dragging, essentially being dragged downwind through the water whilst practicing powerstrokes and kite control in the water. Pack down, a trip back in the boat and de-brief, this day ends on a high with all wanting more….

Eric Bridge

2 day learn to kiteboard - £180
The first day covers the same ground as the 1-day course. By the second day we are getting the boards out and combining the skill of flying the kite whilst getting the board on and using the power of the kite to waterstart. Progression to the dedicated 4-line kite together with a bigger kite, use of the harness and an end of day deep-water pack down is all covered.

3 Day learn to kiteboard - £230
The first 2 days are as above. The 3rd day allows us to develop board skills. Once up on the board we teach you how to maintain power go along in a straight line, turn around and return. Edging, different boards, kites, rules, insurance and lots of valuable information on ‘going it alone'. The great value of this day also means that if we have missed an on the water session due to lack of wind then we can make up the time.

By the end of these 3 days most will have gained your IKO level 2 and feel confident to get out and do this sport safely with loads of enjoyment. Advice on buying new and second hand kit plus options on joining our ‘regular kite sessions.'

Regular improver session - £25
Regular improver sessions to run every Tuesday night 5.30till 8pm starting 27th April 2004. This is a great opportunity to gain advice on rigging, launching, sailing upwind or learning to get your first air! We will also provide equipment.
