Kite boarding
on the Exe
The river Exe allows us to teach on large exposed
sandbanks that are well away from public beaches and other
conflicts. Having the experience of working on the river
in the watersports industry for over 10 years means that
we have all the knowledge to take you to the good spots
to get to grips of flying and getting up on the board.
The geography of the Exe allows us to teach in most wind
directions and tidal states. You will also get to experience
the estuaries beauty and peace, a great place to be whatever
the weather. Get away from it, take a ride in one of our
ribs and we will teach you to kite board.
How to do it?
The best option to learn
the sport is to do a 2 or 3 day course which will lead
to IKO level 1 / 2 depending on previous kite flying and
watersports experience. The great benefit of spending 3
days is that it gives us time to cover extras which people
find useful when going it alone.
If you are not sure whether it is for you then the 3 hour
learn to fly course is a good starter. Details of costs
are enclosed on accompanying booking form and include wetsuits,
buoyancy aids, harnesses and helmets. |
